AS IT HAPPENED: Ray Phiri memorial service

Cape Town - South African jazz legend Ray Phiri will be laid to rest in Nelspruit on Thursday.

Ray Phiri died on Wednesday, 12 July at the age of 70.

The musician suffered from lung cancer and had been admitted to a hospital in Nelspruit.

The memorial service will take place on Thursday at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit at 10:00.
