Johannesburg – Quick question – how much time do you spend on social media?
The answer for the following three adults? None! That was until we came along.
We decided to give three middle-aged people the opportunity to try social media for the very first time.
The rules were simple:
1. Assign a social media account to each adult.
2. Get them to post something at least once a day for a week.
3. Allow each participant to create a video diary of their experience at least once a day (not as simple as we thought it would be).
Our brave candidates:
First on board was Yvonne Alves, 58, a retired woman from Johannesburg. We also managed to rope in 54-year-old Kelvin Vilander, an Evangelist at the Methodist Church of South Africa. And rounding up the crew was Rita Brown, 55, who works in the insurance field.
