WATCH: Mpho Tshabalala launches the Mandoza Foundation

Johannesburg – On Monday Mpho Tshabalala, widow to the late Mandoza, launched the Mandoza Foundation at the Charlotte Maxeke hospital in Johannesburg.

Addressing the crowd at the event, Mpho explained how the foundation will be helping those in need.

"We're gonna be going out in the townships teaching people about cancer," she said, adding that she will be at the hospital when she can to assist.

"I will be here from time to time as the foundation. I will come to give you food. I may come and give you transport money. Or [if] you just need to talk, talking helps a lot just to relieve the things you're going through."

Aside from celebrating the launch of the foundation, guests also took some time to pay tribute to Mpho who also celebrated her birthday on Monday.
