Cape Town – American trendsetting artist and transgender activist Mykki Blanco flew to Johannesburg, South Africa to meet its LGBTQI creatives who were born after 1994.

The meetings, performances and more form part of a documentary which was done for American network, Vice’s i-D division.

In the video – uploaded on Tuesday – Mykki not only performs but also shares his feelings about being in South Africa and the people that he has met saying: "I am 31 years old, African American, and there I was... on the continent in which civilisation as we know it was born, the land which birthed my race, for the very first time."
