WATCH: Trevor Noah slams Meryl Streep

Cape Town - ICYMI missed during the Golden Globes - which were held on Sunday in Los Angeles - actress Meryl Streep gave a very moving speech about Donald Trump without naming him. 

Streep has received kudos from all around the world for her speech, which you can watch here. 

Now Daily Show host Trevor Noah has hit back at one part of Streep's speech in which she references football and mixed martial arts. 

Noah said, "I understand what Meryl Streep was trying to do, and I don't know if I could have done better, but here’s the thing I feel like we could all learn as people, you don’t have to make your point by shitting on someone else’s thing, because a lot of people love football and the arts."
