Durban – Legendary SA gospel producer Sizwe Zako says that the death of Sfiso Ncwane is one that many still cannot come to terms with.
“I think it is something that for the whole week one could not believe this. Its like a you are having a bad dream,” Zako told News24.
He was speaking at the funeral of Ncwane at the Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday.
Zako said that Ncwane was one of the strongest figures in the South African gospel industry.
“The gospel industry has never been shaken like this. It’s a loss because he is a hero to us all.”
Zako said that if there were ever gospel Olympics, Ncwane would be South Africa’s number one representative.
“It is a huge loss. This has hurt our hearts like never before.”

At least 2 000 people had entered the stadium by 10:00 with municipal, provincial and national dignitaries in attendance.
There was also a heavy security presence in preparation for a large crowd. Rain has pelted down steadily, but Ncwane fans have still streamed in.
Ncwane died of kidney failure on Monday at a hospital in Fourways, Johannesburg.
