Johannesburg - Celebrated stout beer Castle Milk Stout, has partnered with the trendiest Italian restaurants for the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival.

The partnership, which includes the restaurant Gemelli and the foodie Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane of Café Tibz fame, will showcase mouth-watering creations at the Kyalami Race Course on the weekend of 7 and 8 October.

The duo showcased their skills to industry friends on Wednesday afternoon at Gemelli. Some of the notable faces in attendance included actor Nkuli Tshirumbula, former Miss SA contestant Rambi Sechoaro and actress Mbali Nkosi.

This partnership sees the two culinary forces treating guests at the festival to a three-course meal for the Castle Milk Stout experience.

“We will be taking it up one notch by presenting our offering at the DStv Delicious International Food and Music Festival, and we have made sure that our many offerings will be on par with the hot local and international line-up on the cards,” said Gemelli restaurant co-owner Alessandro Khojane.

“We have curated a bespoke menu for the guests that will take them on a journey which will bring nuances of their childhood – delivered in a refreshing and modern way,” says Motsoane.

“Castle Milk Stout is proud to have partnered with two local culinary giants in Gemelli restaurant and Café Tibz, and we know that guests will savour the soulfully prepared meals with our exceptional stout that pairs incredibly well with food,” said Castle Milk Stout Brand manager Keneilwe Pholo.

“I love tapping into things I enjoy, food being one of them. I found that people want to dine and relax rather than having to shout over loud music,” Motsoane told City Press.

Popularly known in the industry as Tibz, Motsoane is the founder of Showlove Events and director of Showlove Music.

He has been behind some of hip-hop’s biggest events and artists in the entertainment industry, such as rapper AKA.

Through his “Showlove” platforms, Motsoane has been able to streamline multiple interests.

Nowadays we find him in the kitchen as his latest venture Café Tibz delivers bespoke dining experiences for those looking for intimate culinary experiences.

“Café Tibz is a pop-up restaurant that caters for 20 to 30 people who I pick from social media because, for whatever reason, they interest me,” said Motsoane.
