Umlilo hit-maker Rethabile Khumalo is counting her blessing after she survived a car accident recently.
The muso's mom, veteran singer Winnie Khumalo, went to social media to alert her friends and fans of the incident. She quickly cautioned that people need not to be alarmed as she was doing okay under the circumstances.

However, her only plea was that they keep her daughter in their prayers.
"I WOULD LIKE TO INFORM RETHABILE'S FANS AND FRIENDS THAT SHE WAS INVOLVED IN CAR ACCIDENT AND BADLY HURT BUT SHE WILL BE OK IN TIME. PLZ KEEP HER IN YOUR PRAYERS, [sic]" she wrote.
Move! reached out to Rethabile who was still in hospital. She told Move! that she had a lot of bruises.
Sounding drowsy, the singer said she will be back on her feet in no time and can’t talk right now. She politely asked that we speak to her mom.
Winnie posted on her social media that they were not ready to talk about the incident but thanked everyone for the love and support they've shown during the Khumalo's difficult time.
The Live My Life singer didn’t divulge the details of the accident and only said their priority was her daughter's wellbeing.
"We would like to thank everyone who has been praying and sending msg's of hope. We are not in the position to talk about this cos we are still overwhelmed and focusing on Rethabile getting better. But through prayer Retha is getting better everyday and we are grateful," she said.
