YouTube personality alleges: 'Cassper Nyovest and his team tried to break my camera'

Johannesburg – It’s been nothing but good news for Cassper Nyovest over the past few weeks but now the rapper has found himself in the middle of a social media storm.

The incident at the centre of the scandal took place on Wednesday night at the SA Hip-Hop Awards; when Cassper and his crew allegedly damaged YouTube personality @Tusko_d's camera and stole his memory card.

@Tusko_d made the accusations in the early hours of Thursday morning via a tweet.

“Let it be known that Cassper Nyovest and his Team tried to break my camera stole my memory card with footage, Then had his whole team drag me to a corner backstage to try to beat me up. Saying I will learn!!," he wrote, adding that it was all because he asked about "10 Million Records vs Streams" referring to Cassper's post in which he said he had sold 10 million records in his career while DJ Maphorisa called him out claiming that it was 10 Million streams.

The Juice reached out to Spike, a member of Cassper’s Management team, who only said: "I'm not going to comment on that."

@Tusko_d has also been contacted for comment, but had not responded at the time of publishing.

Rawbust Productions, the company who owns the equipment @Tusko_d claims was damaged, also released a statement about the incident on their site.
