Nico Panagio tells heat: "God told me to adopt"

It's the one question South Africans have always wanted to know: Why did Nico Panagio and wife Christi adopt children?

The extremely private Nico opened up to heat magazine for the first time on the issue.

In the exclusive interview, Nico says that it was a combination of stress and Christi being treated for endometriosis that hampered their plan.

As a devout Christian, Nico turned to God for an answer. He says when he asked God why He doesn't want their children, he heard, without a doubt God saying to him, 'Don't you want mine?"

They are now proud parents of  Evah (3) and Shay (1) and plan on adopting more children into their family.
