Nomzamo Mbatha: "I can't wait to show off the beauty of KZN"

Nomzamo Mbatha is definitely making waves in the entertainment industry.

This year alone, we've seen her fantastic performance in the hit soapie, Isibaya, and more recently she blew fans away with her role in the local flick, Tell Me Sweet Something.

Just last week Nomzamo was named as the presenter of a hot new reality TV series called Holiday Swap. The aim of the series is to showcase everything that KZN has to offer. It will also see two teams of three friends compete against each other to win the holiday of their dreams.

Nomzamo told The Juice that she's nervous, yet super excited about being chosen to host the show. "I'm nervous because it's my first presenting gig and I have to carry the show, but my excitement definitely overpowers that nervousness," she said.

The beautiful actress, who was born and grew up in KZN, explained that she has a very special connection with the province and feels proud to be able to show case it to the rest of the country.

"I feel incredibly proud to showcase my province. I've always been proud of my heritage and this gives me a chance to represent the province on a different level," she explained.

NOMZAMO'S ACTING JOURNEY

Even as a little girl, Nomzamo knew she had a passion for acting...well, kind of!

Of course she was too little to comprehend why she loved talking to herself in the mirror so much, and only later on in life did she discover her love for story-telling.

"I've always appreciated the art of making movies. I still remember my first audition for Isibaya. I felt so small in front of one of my co-stars, who seemed so much better than me, but I made it my  goal to hone my skills. From that day onwards my love for acting just continues to grow each day," she explained.

Nomzamo says she's been incredibly blessed this year and hopes to play great characters in the future. She's also passionate about youth and social development, and hopes to spend more time kick-starting initiatives that will focus on this.
