Nonhle Thema's bumpy 2014 ride

It seems like Nonhle Thema just can't escape drama.

The Zabalaza actress kicked off the year on an incredibly high-note. After taking a break from the industry, she was set to come back bigger and better.

We all know Nonhle went through a 'very dark' phase in her life, but was adamant not to let that period control her future. At the start of this year, Nonhle was named as the Club 808 presenter and bagged a role on Zabalaza.

She told The Juice at the time that she had laid her past to rest and that motherhood had changed her for the better.

And, all was really going well for Nonhle. She even bagged an international deal when she was named as the Face of Madison Shoes.

Unfortunately Nonhle found herself embroiled in drama yet again, when she and Khanyi Mbau visted Botswana earlier this year. It was alleged that Nonhle had made derogatory comments about Botswana women, which led to Madison Shoes firing her as its face.

However, we all know Nonhle and we know that this is not enough to keep her down.
