Johannesburg- Singer and social activist, Ntsiki Mazwai has hit out at SA hip-hop artists for "not recognising" women in the industry.
Ntsiki was commenting on the SA Hip-Hop Award nominations, which were released late last week.
Not one to mince her words, Ntsiki took to her blog where she wrote an open letter entitled, Dear Brothers of SA Hip-Hop. (Read the full letter here)
In the letter, Ntsiki goes into detail about why she feels the way she does towards the state of the hip-hop industry, and claims that for years female artists have been overlooked.
Ntsiki also took to Twitter where she voiced her opinions about what she thinks about the current generation of male hip hop artists.
Here's what she had to say:
SA hip hop men r wack!!! And insecure. They can't recognise women in HipHop. Bunch of mysogynists and strong woman haters
