Orlando Pirates chairman on Senzo Meyiwa's death: "This is a sad loss"

Orlando Pirates chairman has expressed the team's devastation over Senzo Meyiwa's tragic death.

The soccer star was shot and killed around 11pm on Sunday night. Irvin Khoza has released a statement on Twitter, announcing that there will be a press conference on Monday morning.

"The family has learned with sadness of the untimely death of our number 1 keeper & captain Senzo Meyiwa.This statement is being issued whilst Club officials are up & about dealing with matters arising from the unsettling news," he said on the club's Twitter page. 

He added that Senzo's death is a sad loss  to his family especially his children, to Orlando Pirates & the nation.
