It's definitely been an eventful season of Our Perfect Wedding for host Phumeza Mdabe. And, even though she won't be returning next season, it's not the last time you'll be seeing her on your TV screen.
Phumeza recently opened up about the season that's gone by and what's next for her during a live interview on Cliffcentral.com
The mother of four says she's busy working on her own TV show, which she will be pitching to various channels soon and also has a kiddies' clothing range in the making.
"I had an awesome season, even though I sometimes couldn't go into my local mall without being mobbed. When I got the call was very anxious about going into a different environment every weekend because it's a very tough show to host," she explained.
Phumeza, who is married herself, believes that people complicate marriage when it doesn't need to be. "You just have to be ready to settle down, compromise and then be willing to work together to move forward," she explained.
She's also planning to go back to school next year as she wants to set a good example for her own children. "When my kids are ready to go to university and tell me they don't want to because they want to do something else, I'll have no leg to stand on," she added.
We all know that Phumeza got alot of criticism while hosting the show for various reasons, but she says it was like water off a duck's back. "I have people in my life who I take constructive criticism and advice from. I definitely never take anything that's said on social media seriously," she explained.
The spunky presenter, model and actress says she still has a lot more to give the industry so watch this space!
