Phumeza Mdabe opens up about marriage and those insults

Every Sunday evening social media is set ablaze as another episode of Our Perfect Wedding hits TV screens across the country.

What's also been quite evident since the start of the season is the amount of insults presenter Phumeza Mdabe gets on Twitter. Phumeza has gotten flack for being opinionated, for dressing beautifully and for stealing the brides' moment.

Drum magazine sat down with Phumeza to find out how she handles it all.

"I honestly don't have time for people who belittle my work with negative comments," she explained.

Phumeza added that she didn't understand how people expected her to go to a wedding dressed shabby. "I find it really sad that people always look for something negative even in a beautiful thing like a wedding," she explained.

The presenter, who is married with two children, says that since she started presenting the show she learns something new about the journey of marriage every week.
