Pics: Celebs remember Madiba

It's been a year since Nelson Mandela passed away. The former South African president, who was adored by the world, died at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, on 5 December. On the first anniversary of his death, some celebs took to social media to remember the global icon.

Media Mogul Basetsana Kumalo shared a picture on Instgram of herself with Tata. "Remembering you Tata with deep gratitude! Thank you for being a moral compass to our nation and the world. We miss you!!! "Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it" - Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela." 

SA soccer player Itumeleng Khune also posted a picture of Madiba and captioned it: "The world remembers Madiba one year on.May your soul R.I.P #Respect." 

DJ Sbu shared his moment with the global icon and wrote: "This day changed my life forever. Having lunch with the worlds greatest man at his home. We all #RememberMandela today. How will you honor his legacy? #RememberMadiba #Mandela." 

While Minnie Dlamani posted one of Tata's quotes. It read: ""Everyone can rise above their circumstances and achieve success if they are dedicated to and passionate about what they do." Dr Nelson Mandela #LongLive."
