Reason distraught as a fan plunges to his death at his concert

Johannesburg - Rapper Reason has been left distraught after a fan, who attended a show of his, fell to his death.

According to Sowetan, the fan fell down several flights of stairs at a Koolin In The City concept party in Johannesburg on Sunday evening.

The party was held to celebrate Reason's birthday. The rapper was also one of the organisers of the event.

Banesa Tseki, a Kool Out representative, says that 27-year-old Lawrence Ledimo was making his way from the bathroom at the event and decided to slide down the rail of the stairs instead of walking down.

"Unfortunately, he lost his balance and fell from the seventh floor all the way down to the ground floor, meeting his death," Banesa explains.

The company released a statement after the tragedy to express its condolences and said that everyone who was involved with the event, including Reason, have been left distraught and grieved by the news.

Reason took to Twitter shortly after to express his feelings at the news.

Reason and the team visited the Lawrence's family earlier this week to pay their respects and offer assistance with his burial.
