Relax! Umlilo has been renewed for a 3rd season

Johannesburg - With all this talk of our favourite TV shows coming to an end (cough, cough ...Zabalaza) it's natural that fans would be a bit jumpy when a season of one of their favourite shows look to be drawing to an end.

But Umlilo fans, fear not! There's loads of Umlilo still to come.

It seems fans have been worried that Umlilo may not be renewed for another season, especially after it was revealed that Zabalaza is coming to an end (more on that here) and reports that mega hit telenovela, Uzalo, is not going to get another season.

But e.tv have calmed all fears of Umlilo being yanked off our screens. They took to Twitter recently to confirm a third season for the drama series.

One of Umlilo's star actresses, Omuhle Gela, also took to social media to explain to fans why the show is a bit different to Uzalo and why it won't face a sudden death any time soon.

"So let me explain a little. Umlilo is a SA Series NOT soapie not telenovela. Like Suits, Devious Maids etc. So when this season ends we back again next year...etc etc so excited," she wrote on Instagram.

So, now we can all relax and go back to watching her slay!
