Reports: Brickz allegedly arrested for trying to kill his lover

Johannesburg - No matter how hard he tries, it seems like Brickz just can't escape trouble.

According to Sunday World, Brickz was arrested last week and charged with assault after he threatened to kill his lover.

Nhlanhla Khumalo has been in a relationship with Brickz for sometime, but the love apparently turned sour recently and the lady from Meadowlands, Soweto woman had to seek refuge in a police station after the claims the musician beat her and threatened to end her life.

According to a police statement, seen by the paper, Brickz is said to have choked Nhlanhla and pushed her against a wall on numerous occasions. 

"He is not fit to live with people and I wish they take him back to prison because that's where he belongs. He lied to me that he was no longer seeing his ex-wife, Nqobile (something The Juice reported on HERE) , but to my shock I found them together at his home in Zola," she told the paper. 

Jabulani police spokesperson Justice Mabaso confirmed that a case of assault had been opened against the rapper and that he had handed himself over to police last Thursday.

He was released later that day.

"The docket was not put on the court roll, it was sent back to the station for further investigations," said the officer.
