Johannesburg - As murder accused Sinisiwe Manqele's trial date nears, it's being reported that she wants to apologise to the family of the man she stabbed to death.
According to the Sunday Sun, Sindi wants to get closure by making peace with Flabba's family.
The paper's source says everyone has turned their back on Sindi after the death of Flabba. It's for this reason that she wants to reach out to his family to apologise for what happened and explain her side of the story.
But Sindi can expect a cold shoulder if she does.
Flabba's mom says Sindi is not serious about asking for forgiveness and lacks remorse.
"No one from her family has called or visited us. I feel like they just don't care about what my family and I are going through," Agatha Habedi says, adding, "If my son had killed someone I would drop everything and find out what happened, then see how we could find a way to move forward."
"If Sindi wants to come to my house, she can come. But first, she must take ownership of her actions and then we can all have closure," she adds.
Sindi legal team has already said that she will say she was acting in self-defence on the night of the killing.
