Riky Rick has been getting some serious flak on social media lately with haters claiming he's a copycat rapper, from his music to his outfits.

In fact, the hate has got so bad that Riky took to Twitter on Thursday to address the haters and their beef head on.

"Goodmorning. I've always said I won't respond to negativity on Twitter. But regarding the ignorance regarding #FamilyValues is too much," he started his rant saying.

The way he dresses

"First of all, everything I have have ever done has a reference, from the beats I learnt how to produce to the things I rap about," he wrote adding that he was first inspired by Slick Rick who even influenced him to wear that infamous eye patch of his .

"I would be lying to you if the influence of past hip hop greats don't influence the videos I shoot or the clothing choices I make," he said in response to criticism that he was stealing outfits from American rappers. "I started wearing overalls to pay homage to Will Smith in Independence Day. Yall call it stealing??. We went from New Era caps back to Spoties and Kitchen Suits? You call that stealing? I call it paying homage to cultures that raised us."

And even the Slyza Tsotsi haters weren't immune from the rant. "I'm not afraid of my influences. The intro of #slyzatsotsi is influenced by Brown Bash. You think that's something I am hiding? No.wasn't immune," he wrote, adding, "Hip Hop "Stole" tons of samples. Some samples were used more than once. You call that stealing?"

"All I wanted to do was take a picture with my baby for my album cover. If it looks like The Game I'm not embarrassed by that," he said, adding, "When you have babies I pray you don't take a picture in a studio with a white background. Because The Game was the first person to do that".

Being original

"The problem with you "so called" hip hop kids is you have not Learnt to embrace hip hop as a culture of influencers, he wrote."You are so afraid to be influenced by your history and OGs that you end up doing ZERO because you want to be the genius to be "original. I never knew I had so many haters, first time I'm touched actually. But it's fine. My life will continue through prayer and hard work."
