Riky Rick returns to Family Values amidst hip hop beef

Johannesburg - With more beef flying around than your neighbourhood shisanyama, you would be forgiven for thinking every rapper in Mzansi is out for a good ol' fight!

But not Riky Rick!

The Boss Zonke rapper says he has more important things to worry about - like his son and making new music for his fans.

"My only interest is making beautiful music. Forget the hype. Forget your rap politics. Just wanna make music my son will be proud of when I'm gone," Riky wrote on Instagram this week.

"This aint gonna last forever for anybody but I pray you understand the message in my music is beyond myself. Never been the greatest at anything in particular but making music with a message is all I ever wanted to do," he adds.

The rapper revealed that he is busy working on new material at the moment, using his life and family as his inspiration.

He even gave us a small snippet on what to expect from one of the songs:
