SABC remembers Simba Mhere

The entire nation is still reeling in shock  after the sudden of Top Billing presenter, Simba Mhere's death.

Simba was tragically killed in a car accident on Saturday morning, while he was travelling to the airport to attend the J&B Met in Cape Town.

Simba's best friend Kady-Shay O’Bryan was also killed in the accident.

Social media has been abuzz with tributes to Simba as  friends and fans struggle to come to terms with his death.

The SABC has also released a statement remembering Simba's captivating persona.

"He will be remembered mostly by his ability to captivate Top Billing audiences by his powerful voice, liveliness and an unforgettable infectious smile," spokesman Kaizer Kganyago said in a statement.

Kaizer added that Simba always showed great commitment towards his career and carried out his duties with so much zeal. "He has since won the hearts of the old and young people alike."

Simba will be laid to rest this weekend- our thoughts are with his family and friends.
