Johannesburg- It's been eight months since Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed at Kelly Khumalo's childhood home in Vosloorus.
However, police are yet to make any arrests in connection with the shooting.
There's been a string of reports since the shooting where police have promised an arrest soon. Just last month Senzo's father, Sam Meyiwa slammed officials for not following up on a concrete lead that he gave them.
Sam believes that Senzo's killing was a hit and apparently knows the identify of the killers.
Once again police were quoted as saying that it was only a matter of time that Senzo's killers would be nabbed. Another empty promise it seems?
Now Drum magazine is reporting that people from the Vosloorus community are living in fear as Senzo's killers are still at large. Apparently some residents have even upgraded their security.
"People are scared there's a curse in the house since one of South Africa's young stars died there," a neighbour told the magazine.
Apparently since the incident, Kelly's mother is hardly ever seen and the Asine star is also quite scarce to the neighbourhood.
