Senzo Meyiwa funeral has started!

Thousands of fans struggle to hold back tears as Senzo Meyiwa's body arrives at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

Funeral proceedings are expected to get underway shortly. The soccer star was escorted into the stadium by the South African Police band.The stadium is almost packed to capacity with just a few stands left empty.

The car carrying Senzo's coffin is being taken around the stadium so that fans can bid farewell to the soccer star.

Orlando Pirates chairperson Irvin Khoza has just arrived with the Orlando Pirates team mates. Senzo Meyiwa's wife, Mandisa Mkhize has also just arrived.

As Senzo's body is taken around the stadium fans break down with emotion.

It's definitely a sad day in the country!
