Senzo Meyiwa's dad: "It's like they killed me."

Sam Meyiwa is battling to come to terms with the fact that his son is dead.

A visibly shaken Sam spoke out for the first time since the fatal shooting last night. He told journalists who were outside his house in Umlazi, Durban that all he wanted was for his son's killers to be caught.

The distraught father wants to talk to the killers and ask them why they murdered his son. "They [the police] must make sure they get these people who killed my son. I want them in jail. I want them in custody. I want to talk to them and ask them why they killed my son. It's like they killed myself," he told Times Live.

Sam added that he couldn’t believe that Senzo was dead. "I don't know if I'm coming or going. My heart is broken. I'm just finished."

The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana star’s funeral is expected to take place this Saturday in Umlazi. Orlando Pirates’ clash with Kaizer Chiefs has been postponed to a later date following Senzo’s murder.
