Senzo Meyiwa's 'gogo' opens up about the soccer star's death

It's just over a  month since soccer star Senzo Meyiwa was gunned down. And, for the first time the player's grandmother has talked about the pain of loosing her grandson.

87-year-old Juliet Bandile Ximba (Sam Meyiwa's mom) told Drum magazine that she wishes Senzo could wake up. The gogo explained that she knows it's impossible, but still feels devastated that God did things in such a strange way.

Gogo Juliet told the mag that she had planned her funeral with Senzo. "I told him that I want three priests at mu funeral. But God did things in a very strange way and Senzo left first. I miss him and I still don't believe he's gone forever," she explained.
