Senzo Meyiwa's killer known to Kelly Khumalo

Police are still searching for a second suspect wanted for the murder of soccer star Senzo Meyiwa.

The Bafana Bafana captain and Orlando Pirates goalkeeper was murdered on 26 October during a botched robbery. Meanwhile, it has emerged that the suspect nabbed by police on Friday was known to Kelly Khumalo and her family.  Zanokuhle Mbatha was arrested by police after he was positively identified by eyewitnesses during an identification parade. 

Sunday Times has revealed that the 25-year-old suspect lives only three streets away from Kelly's Vosloorus home where Senzo was murdered. The paper also claims that he was known to the singer and her entire family.

There's also been claims that the suspect washed Kelly and Senzo's cars on a regular basis.

The paper is also reporting that Zanokuhle is under 24-hour police guard at a safe house on the East Rand due to the widespread anger from fans and fears that he would not be safe in a holding cell.

Zanokhule will appear in court on 11 November.
