Simba Mhere: driver charged

Johannesburg - The man accused of smashing his car into Top Billing presenter, Simba Mhere's vehicle on 31 January this year has been charged with culpable homicide and reckless driving.

Police have confirmed to The Juice that Preshalin Naidoo appeared in the Randburg Magistrates court this afternoon.

The case was postponed to 26 June while a trial date was set for 18 August of this year.

It comes over four months after Simba and his best friend, Kady-Shay O'Bryan lost their lives. Since then, the Mhere family have publicly slammed officials, saying they have received little word on the progress of investigations.
