Johannesburg - Isidingo has seen its fair bit of comings-and-goings in the last few weeks, with Khabonina joining the show and Papa G (Darlington Michaels) heading out the door - but the show's Skhumbuzo says he's not going anywhere!
"Yes. I'm still on the show and I'm still enjoying it. I'm privileged to have a character that is versatile. A character that is not rigid. That is human," Sisa Hewana, who plays Skhumbuzo on the popular soapie, told The Juice recently.
Sisa says he is inspired by all of the soapies cast members, but has been blown away by the energy of his latest co-star, Khabonina.
"Khabonina is full of energy. She brings a lot of freshness to the show. She's a very good actress. I visit sets when she's on and I see the cast and crew and directors love working with her."
But it's not all rosy in Horizon Deep, especially after the recent revelation that legendary actor Darlington Michaels, who plays Papa G on the show, will soon be leaving the show.
Sisa says that he was shocked to learn about Papa G's departure on the show and will miss the acting legend.
"I didn't know about it personally and only heard the news yesterday, he says. "It was a great pleasure working with him. He is one of the greatest. I remember when I first joined Isidingo I did a lot of scenes with him and you could see that he was a thinking actor and we all had to keep up with him. I learnt a lot from him," he tells us.
Apart from Isidingo, fans can catch Sisa on their TV's as one of the new hosts of the Lotto. A role he says he is excited to be a part of.
"I'm really excited about presenting the show. It's a nice challenge. It's live TV which I'm looking forward to," he says.
