Soul City's Gontse did NOT go missing

Earlier this week, Sunday World reported that Soul City actress, Gontse Ntshegang, went missing from action.

The paper claimed she simply didn't pitch for work, which angered her colleagues and producers.

It was even suggested that she would be written out of the show because of that.

But Soul City have hit back, explaining that this is not true.

Here's part of the statement:

Soul City Institute confirms that the production house, Homemade Productions, was aware of Gontse’s whereabouts and reasons for her absence during her scheduled production time. Her absence was understood and fully accommodated for in further scheduling. That she had disappeared without any notification, or went AWOL as reported, is a misrepresentation of facts.

“It is rather unfortunate that these media platforms have chosen to report carelessly about the matter. Gontse did not go AWOL. We were aware of matters she was dealing with and have provided support to her and continue to do so. We wish for nothing else but support and respect for her privacy. Caring for our people is an important value we hold as an organisation,” says John Molefe, speaking on behalf of the Soul City Institute
