Special task team to investigate Senzo Meyiwa's killing

As South Africans woke up to the tragic news this morning, police have vowed to leave no stone unturned.

Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega have revealed that a special task team has been set up to investigate the killing. Police have offered a R150 000 reward for any information about the shooting.

"What I can confirm is that our police were at the scene of the crime. We proceeded to put together a special task team to look into this matter," the police commissioner told Eyewitness News.

Meanwhile, it's believed that Senzo's girlfriend, and the mother of his second child, Kelly Khumalo is currently receiving trauma counselling.

The shooting allegedly happened at Kelly's Vosloorus home on the East Rand around 10pm last night.
