Tasha Baxter says having to be a mom was the only thing that got her through the dark days

As The Juice previously reported, it's been a long, tough road for award winning singer, Tasha Baxter.

A few years ago she was diagnosed was Bipolar Disorder, Type 1 - probably the most severe Bipolar diagnosis you can get.

Last year, she spoke out about how she had lost everything, including her house, car, studio and even her children.

But Tasha is on the mend. She says she struggles with the condition that saw her booked into a psychiatric hospital twice for six months. "My focus was and is just my children... just being a mom. That has been the main focus and whether I ever get back to where I was ever again is not as important to me as them".

When The Juice caught up with Tasha she was taking her kids for a haircut. She says that she enjoys spending time with her son and daughter and that her children have always supported her and each other. "My son was doing a school go-kart derby recently and had to dress as a super hero so my daughter made him claws and he went as Wolverine!" she says.

She has also said that she's hoping to make a comeback and we should be hearing new music from her soon.
