Thando Thabethe: "Please Santa, I've been good"

It's time to pack away the laptops, switch off the cellphones and be merry with loved ones. Well, that's exactly what DJ Thando Thabethe will be doing this festive season.

The 5FM DJ told The Juice that she's looking forward to unwinding with her family. "Christmas is a celebration of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and a celebration of love, life, family and success," she explained.

Thando's mom will be cooking a scrumptious festive feast for the entire family to enjoy. "Every christmas, my extended family come over, my mom cooks a beast of a christmas lunch and we eat, drink and celebrate. It's also a family tradition to place gifts under the Christmas tree, my brother dresses up as Father Christmas and my sister and I play "MC" and gift handlers,"she added.

We all know that growing up sucks at times- more so over the festive period when you remember all that excitement of not being able to sleep in anticipation of Santa Claus. Well, Thando's childhood memory of getting new clothes on Christmas day brings those fond memories back for her.

Now that she's all grown up and doesn't get new clothes anymore- a new Mini Cooper is on her wish list.

Please Santa Claus...she's been a good girl all year!
