Johannesburg - If there's one nod of approval that counts for something this year, it's that of Trevor Noah.
The Daily Show host showed some love to hip-hop star, Cassper Nyovest, after the musician made South African history by being the first local muso to fill up the dome.
It's a dream Cassper has been talking about since the beginning of this year, and over the weekend a 20 000 strong crowd showed their support.
Not just that, but there were a few surprises with the likes of Black Coffee jamming with him on stage and Sports Minister, Fikile Mbalula, acting as MC for a few minutes.
But it was Trevor's vote of confidence on his Twitter account that turned a few heads. With over 2.75m followers, many international stars, music producers and heavyweights in the entertainment industry, a simple well done goes a long way.
Well done Cassper. Well done! #FillUpTheDome

Meanwhile, the ANCYL has also showed its support to Trevor, promising to encourage politicians to rally behind local musicians. In a statement, the organisation said it was proud of the star. "We wish to congratulate Refiloe (Cassper) once again, indeed Mme Phoolo he has made it!"
