Trompies discuss new album

Legendary kwaito group Trompies have been around for two decades and are still going strong. The group, which is made up of Mjokes, Eugene, Mahoota, Jairus and Spikiri are back with a new album titled Trompies Delicious. According to Daily Sun, the album has made it to Musica's top 50 best international albums and it's at number five at Musica's top 20 best local albums.

Speaking to Daily Sun about their success, Jairus aka Mjakajaka: "We appreciate our ever-growing support. We have fans across the country and beyond our border, which have kept us going until today. This has been evident in how our recently released album has been doing on the market."

The group said their new album features big names in the industry such as Ringo, Dr Malinga, Mxo, Alaska, Jahseed, Black Motion, Uhuru and the legendary Kamazu.

They told the paper that in terms of production, the album carries the original strength and power for which the group is known.
