Tumi Loves the Antwoord

Well here's a crazy mix! Tumi Molekane (of Tumi and the Volume fame) says he's a big fan of shock-rap group Die Antwoord.

Tumi took to Instagram recently to show his love for the band, posting a picture of the group with the caption "We All Know True Genius. Not Mediocrity, Not Imitation, Not Wannabe, Not Afraid. Pure Unhinged Genius. #OwnLane".

It seems Tumi is a big fan of Die Antwoord's unique style of ...er, entertaining. But what makes his comments even more interesting is the fact that the band have constantly been criticised in world media for "faking" their image.

He addressed this later, simply referring to the band as "true musical geniuses" . "I think for a country that is so highly fixated on success, these guys should have-been* met the president and done live amp and celebrated like the true musical geniuses they are. Nobody out here is willing to take risks and that challenge folks. I've known these guys for years and the world caught up. Stay your course," he says.

Good to see Tumi giving our very own Die Antwoord some local love.
