UPDATE: Police investigating Senzo Meyiwa's death!

Police have vowed to bring Senzo Meyiwa's killers to book.

The Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana soccer star was shot and killed allegedly outside his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo's house two hours ago.

The SAPS have released a statement on their Twitter page confirming the death a few minutes ago. "We have to break normal protocol. We can confirm that Bucs keeper Senzo Meyiwa has been shot and sadly declared dead on arrival at hospital. We must emphasize break of protocol...We know there are upset & hurt pple at the house where incident occurred and at hospital. Calm please," read the statement.

Police added that no one present in the house was hurt. "We can assure all South Africans that we will do all can to bring Meyiwa's killers book," they said.

According to police seven men stormed into the house and altercation occured between Senzo and them. The suspects fled on foot.
