US megastar Timbaland punts SA muso

Johannesburg - It's been a great year for SA born muso, Candice Pillay! From collaborating with Dr Dre to having uber superstar producer Timbaland promote her music, there's no doubt 2015 has been hers. 

Timbaland was in South Africa last year, when it was rumoured that he was on the lookout for a local muso to work with (more on that here).

Well, he might have just found that muso in SA born- LA based singer, Candice Pillay.

Candice shot to international fame when she featured heavily on Dr Dre's new album, Crompton. She had previously written for the likes of Christina Aguilera and Rihanna.

And now that Candice has dropped her new EP (The High), she's getting massive love from the game, including a shout out and stamp of approval from none other than Timbo himself!

Candice pretty much freaked out at the shout-out and took to Instagram to re-post it for all her fans and friends to see, along with this cute caption.
