Johannesburg- The SABC have confirmed that Unathi Msengana is still off-air due to ongoing discussions between herself and Metro FM management.
It's been three weeks since the Metro FM radio personality came under fire, after she lashed out at a listener for allegedly insulting her and her family. In a series of direct messages on Twitter, Unathi labelled the listener a "pscyho b**ch." (Read that story here)
Unathi was reacting to criticism on social media for comments she made during her radio show, on the alleged racism at the Stellenbosch University, which came to light on the Luister documentary. (Read that story here)
She was suspended from the radio station shortly after the debacle. Even though Unathi has apologised for the "offensive language", she still hasn't returned to her job.
Speaking to The Juice, SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago explained that right now there is no indication of when Unathi will return.
"Meto FM management is still in discussions with Unathi, and only once that engagement has been completed will it be announced when she will return. Once management have concluded their discussion, the findings will be announced," he added.
