Uzalo creator says Generations is not competition!

If you thought the fact that Uzalo is beating Generations in ratings was enough to make them competitors- think again.

We spoke to the show's creator, Gugu Zuma-Ncube and she told us - Newsflash!- Uzalo are only competing with themselves.

"We just keep pushing ourselves," she says, "We not trying to beat anyone".

In fact she says she hopes that Generations does well so that it can strengthen SABC 1 .

So, what about other competitors like that show Isibaya ? 

"Competition is always worrying," Gugu admits, "But you can't obsesses about beating them because it will kill you and drive you crazy," she says.

She says she's not surprised by the success of the show but watching for the first time did make her super nervous. "We had a few friends over to watch it together. I was so nervous. My heart was dropping throughout the show but when the end credits rolled I breathed a sigh of relief ," she recounts with a laugh.
