WATCH: Riky Rick opens up about his struggles

Johannesburg - Riky Rick recently had a chat with Slikouronlife.co.za, where he shared some of his past's heart-rending ordeals.

The rapper admitted to having an alcohol problem among others, before going into therapy. This, he said, was mainly because he used to put on a facade as he had  "a lot of symptoms of personal struggles" but "couldn't speak about what's wrong."

In addition, he recalls being in school, and having to pull out from his comfort zone in attempt to try fit in. 

"Even though at school I was always the quiet kid, I always had to be...always had to act out in some sort of way to be recognised...But in reality, I just wanna be quiet," he revealed.

Adding "I was always trying to be an accepted character."
