Johannesburg - We know you probably had your outfit planned and practiced all the words to your favourite African artist's songs but if you were heading to the African Music Concert in Johannesburg this weekend, we have some bad news for you.
The inaugural African Music Concert was supposed to roll into town this week, bringing with it African superstars Yemi Alade, Wizkid and Davido (more on that here) but the show has been postponed to 21 November to allow for more African artists to be added to the bill.
"Clamours from excited fans across Africa, especially on social media, backed by the desire of the sponsors to see a bigger representation of African Unity, the concert promoters along with the top artists have decided to add at least six more African countries to the lineup, a decision that inadvertently led to the postponement of the concert till the 21st of November," a statement from the show's organisers said.
"This postponement will give room to amplify the already confirmed colossal lineup to include celebrated talents from various other African countries further promoting African Unity."
That's great news for any fan of African music but if you have your in-laws over that weekend you can always apply for a refund through Computicket.
That or just dodge the in-laws altogether...
