Hands up if you remember Cockey Falcow. The actor/ comedian who used to make us laugh with his appearances on local TV and films had all but disappeared from our minds since moving to America a few years back.
Now, the man who made us laugh as Alfonso in Big Fellas has reappeared as a bad ass villian in the US TV series Matador, and he has a whole bunch of movies coming out too.
Matador is the story of a DEA agent, Tony Bravo, who gets recruited by a little known branch of the CIA for a top secret mission: investigating the LA riots Football team by going undercover as one of their players in order to uncover the secrets of its owners. With Cockey playing the role of a blood-dripped matador like killer. The show premiered in the states this week and we hope it gets a run here soon.
Besides lighting up American TV screens, Cockey will also appear in several films over the next year, including leading roles in the drama Something About Her, the comedy Body High and the oddly-named Cockroaches.
He is also apparently in talks to be involved in the Made In Africa film The Lion of Tobruk. Let's hope he returns to those African roots soon.
In the meantime, enjoy this trailer of Matador showing a bloody Cockey holding a man and pointing a gun as a lift closes. 014/15, gaining much buzz on the festival circuit.
