Johannesburg - He's one of the country's hottest musicians right now, but Anga Makubalo (AKA NaakMusiq) is not about to sit on his laurels.
Anga is hard at work on his debut album and sat down with The Juice recently to tell us how it's progressing.
"I just flew in a few hours ago from putting some finishing touches to the album in Durban," he says when we meet him at the launch of e.tv's new action drama Z'Bondiwe.
The album is set for release at the end of the year and will feature some of the biggest names in SA music.
"By June/July all the tracks should be done and then we'll start on the artwork and photo shoots and stuff,"he says. "We have Professor in there, Xoli M is in there, Donald is in there, (DJ)Tira is in there, Big Nuz is in there, Black Motion is in there," he tells us.
But, even though he has some really big names on the album, there's only one more person Anga really wants to get on the album: Black Coffee
He says he's working on it.
"I would love to get Black Coffee on the album. We've spoken a few times but he's really busy with his international tours at the moment and it slips his mind. So by the time he thinks of me or gets back to me, it's too late and he has to be somewhere else," he reveals.
We can't wait to hear it.
