What is happening to our rappers on Youtube?

Dj Switch has become the latest victim in some dodgy Youtube hacking that has rocked the local hip hop and world.

DJ Switch took to Instagram on Monday to tell his fans that the music video for his latest single,  Party on the Weekend had been removed from Youtube.

"Help me get my views back Youtube took my video off!?! " he posted, alongside a note providing the link to the video and the words"Lets get em back up http://youtu.be/CpB80DJv5eA #RT #RP distress call some one please #call911"

Sounds fishy, right? Especially since the link actually works now. We would be suspicious but this is the third time a local rapper has had his video removed from the site.

Local Dj, DJ Azuhl has also reported his video removed from Youtube and only 3 weeks ago the same thing happened to rapper Riky Rick.

Riky at the time posted a picture of his removed video with the caption "' I'm very sad about this. #NAFUKWA has been removed by YouTube. Getting this song and video to y'all has been such a fight, my spirit has been hit down, doors have been slammed in my face and I am expected to smile and say I'm happy with the response for this project. This music video is my best visual work thus far but I continue to be told the content is a problem. This video deserves to be seen".

Yoh! Seems like a gremlin in the gears. Let's hope it's not Cassper or AKA's videos next!
