It was a curious case that had people on social media in a flap: why was Cassper Nyovest singing AKA's music?
The duo have been beefing ever since Cassper's hit single Doc Shebeleza came head to head on the charts with AKA's Congratulate.
A feud that started on Twitter, came to heads a couple of weeks ago when it was alleged that someone in AKA's camp pulled a gun on Cassper. The feud has pretty much died out since then, but it looks like it may have kicked off again this weekend when Cassper performed AKA's songs live at the Spring Fiesta in Boksburg, Johannesburg.
After the show, fans of the rappers took to social media asking why Cassper, who claims to hate everything about AKA and won't even share a room with him, was all of a sudden singing his songs?
AKA responded that he believed Cassper was being creepy and a stalker but The Juice spoke to Cassper's people to clear the air.
"Cassper was performing at the Spring Fiesta this weekend where he performed a set to celebrate 20 years of democracy. The set included songs from many South African musicians over the last 20 years, including AKA, Kwesta and Cash Time, " says Cassper's publicist Farah Fortune.
She says that Cassper did not deliberately set out to sing AKA's songs to prove a point, but rather it was just part of his set.
Hmmm, what do you think?
