Will your fav soap win big at the Royalty Soapie Awards tonight?

The Royalty Soapie Awards takes place in Durban tonight at the Durban International Convention Centre and we're expecting more than a few fireworks.

e.tv's Scandal! and popular Mzansi Magic soap Isibaya lead the nomination charge with 16 nominations each, followed by SABC2's 7de Laan with 14 nominations.

One of the most fiercely contested categories at the awards is for Best Female Villain category. The category sees actress Dawn Matthews (Shakira Willemse- Scandal) take on Jo da Silva (Gita McGregor - 7de Laan), Mampho Brescia (Iris - Isibaya) and Therese Benadé (Astrid Wentzel - Villa Rosa).

Guests will be entertained by DJ Merlon, the Durban Gospel Choir and R&B singer Bucie.

The show will not be shown live but will be recorded and shown later this year on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
