Winnie Mandela: "My divorce was a fraud"

Oi.

In an unexpected turn of events, Winnie Mandela reportedly claims that her divorce was fraudulently obtained.

This is according to Business Day, who are reporting that the Apartheid stalwart has opened a court case. In the documents Ma Winnie also claims that she wasn't even in the country when her divorce from tata Madiba was finalised and that no settlement agreement was reached.

All of this is in an attempt to gain control of Madiba's Qunu home, which he left to his trust.

"The certificate is clearly a fraudulent document and it is quite obvious that (during) the divorce hearing the court was misled and the divorce order was obtained through fraud or misrepresentation," Winnie wrote in her affidavit.

Winnie also claims that she wasn't even at court for the proceedings and that Tata Madiba always knew that the Qunu property belonged to her.
